Fearless Friday is a good place to fess up with a shoe fetish. Yeah, yeah, yeah I am a shoeaholic, and I will not lie. I like nice shoes. Shoes with heels, shoes on deals, sneakers, peekers (peek-a-boo toe), flats, wedge, leather, cloth, any new shoe makes me happy.
Size does matter!
Finding shoes that fit is a whole other story. Size 5.5 – 6 with a AAAA width heel. These are virtually impossible to find. I just get lucky sometimes and this week was one of those times. The sports shoes were a nice find last weekend at the Asics outlet in Branson, MO. The good thing about a tiny foot is I can still wear youth shoes, too. They were like $40 less than the women’s.
This is NOT a sponsored post, but I would definitely consider a nice relationship with Dillard’s. They sell some of my favorite brands. They sometimes have my size 😉. Although, I rarely find any on the clearance rack. They are usually wiped out FAST. I hit the jackpot 🍀 this week 5 pair!!! I paid what the regular price for 2 pair of them would have been (yyyaaasssss). I want to give a special shout out to a great sales associate, Kayli Lawerence! She was a delight to have on the shoe search along with my co-conspirator in all shoe shopping splurges in the Turtle Creek Mall area, my sister Connie!
Caring & Sharing
I believe that shoes will take care of you:
- Make you look great
- Not hurt your feet (most of the time)
- Boost your self esteem (sometimes even your height) LOL
- Give you a firm foundation to build an entire outfit around
So you should take good care of them:
- Clean them regularly and timely; stains will get set in
- Polish / wash when needed
- Treat with protector if appropriate for type, before you ever wear
- Take them to a cobbler for repairs when needed
Here’s a quick clip of how I care for suede shoes when I get them, before I wear them.
My REAL weakness is boots! All kinds of boots, but it’s not boot season, yet….well for buying. I am still wearing mine. If you’re a boot girl, they can be worn for any reason and in any season. More about that on a different day and post!
Shop well, shop sale & remember if the shoe fits wear it!
