New Obsession a Delicious Drunken Iced Coffee Recipe

Looks like I may have to change my opinion, since developing a new obsession for delicious Drunken Iced Coffee. The iced coffee thing is totally overrated in my book, that is until I started to tinker around with the Southern Cabana Boy’s Iced Coffee. Then I decided it was delicious when I began to add a few elixirs! Cocktail hour before 6 pm please, if we are using coffee with caffeine! LOL, dang it sucks getting old.

What is the base recipe to begin with?

First things first… You need an amazing cup of java. Secondly, putting my spin on an already proven recipe is the way I roll: The SCB dropped his recipe for how he makes Iced Coffee at home a few months back.

I still stand by it totally, but if you are not in love with just Iced Coffee for an afternoon refresher, I highly suggest that maybe you add a few spirits.

I also suggest an insulated glass to keep it iced longer. Drunken Iced Coffee makes something quite yummy and what can become intoxicating if you drink it like regular java…by the pot fulls. So, know your limits – caffeine and alcohol.

Can you tweak that Iced Coffee recipe?

Absolutely! I know I did. This is the recipe, for the drunken iced coffee recipe part. The SCB is responsible for the Iced Coffee portion. You might have to make a run to the liquor store. I did. There were a few ingredients that have not been my standard elements. BUT, some of the bottles I do have at home on a regular basis in my cabinet.

Should you do drunken iced coffee before work?

Probably NEVER a good idea. Never would I want anyone to drink and drive. Nor, would I want you to show up for work in a condition that isn’t one hundred percent, spot-on for doing and performing your daily task. This is for an after-work or playtime cocktail.

Equipment

• 1 oz measuring cup
• 16 oz insulated tumbler

Ingredients

• 6-10 cubes ice or coffee ice cubes ice will vary on size
• 12 oz coffee decaf or regular; you pick your poison
• 1 oz coconut rum brand of your choosing
• 1 oz creme liqueur brand of your choosing
• 1 oz whipped vodka brand of your choosing
• 1 oz half and half any brand

Instructions

• Ice in tumbler, coffee then add shots. Stir and enjoy!

I may have just found out what this obsession for afternoon iced coffee is of the hubs. I will tell you that with the extras that I’ve added just took it to a whole new level for me!
